Jungle Ruby is one of the finest examples of contemporary black tea production we’ve encountered in Northern Thailand.
Made from the Ruan Zhi cultivar, better known for its use in Taiwanese-style oolongs, this fully oxidised black tea demonstrates the exceptional skill of one of the region’s most accomplished tea artisans.
Its distinctive profile combines malted honey, dark fruit and floral sweetness, followed by a clean mineral finish. The quality of the processing and the depth of its aromatics make Jungle Ruby one of PRANIT’s flagship teas.
We’ve selected it for a limited pressing because it represents something particularly important to us: the ability of Northern Thai producers to create outstanding, original teas from familiar cultivars.
