The Exceptional Harvest

Spring 2026 produced one of the most impressive Oriental Beauty harvests we’ve encountered in Northern Thailand.

Made from the Ruan Zhi cultivar, this tea developed during a demanding growing season characterised by heat, temperature fluctuations and periods of water stress.

These conditions, together with leafhopper activity, influenced the development of the tea’s aromatic character. The finished tea was exceptionally sweet, robust and complex, with pronounced notes of honeyed fruit, muscat grape and ripe peach.

Producers across our network were particularly enthusiastic about the quality of the 2026 harvest, describing it as one of the strongest Oriental Beauty seasons in recent memory.

This is precisely why we selected the tea for pressing.

Rather than treating an exceptional harvest as a standard seasonal release, we’ve produced a limited number of individually numbered cakes that identify and celebrate Spring 2026.
